Motivation Quotation 7 -- Vitamins For The Soul

Motivation Quotation: “Reading inspiring quotes uplifts the mind. Reading inspiring quotes is like filling yourself with energy and light. Inspiring quotes and phrases are like vitamins to the soul.” –Remez Sasson

Motivational Comment: Inspiring words are powerful. They can give you encouragement, hope, comfort, peace of mind, motivation, endurance, wisdom, and so much more. All we have to do is read them, think about them, repeat them, and receive them in our heart.

Motivation quotations are like vitamins for your inner self. If you consume them into your mind and heart, they really will fill you with energy and light.

Do you have a favorite uplifting quote? Why not repeat it in your mind through out the day today? You can read it or quote it from memory.

Try this. Write your inspiring quotation on a small card and carry it in your pocket today. Every time you repeat it or read it, make a tiny tear in the card. Before you go to bed tonight, count the number of times you have torn the card. See if you can read or repeat the quote at least 12 times today.

If you do this, you will be amazed at how much better your quotation will make you feel. What have you got to lose? Go ahead and give it a try. Get quotivated today!

 Impressive Vocabularly?

I was attending a preacher's meeting one time when two pastors walked up and began a conversation. One of them said: "This is a marvelous edifice."

The other one replied: "Yes, indeed, it is certainly a glorious structure." I couldn't resist, so I said: "Yep. And it's also a real nice building."

 Answering Anxiety Attacks

Sirens sound! Sanity shakes! Shells of apprehension explode! An anxiety attack launches an avalanche of negative thoughts and emotions! What do you do?

The key to defeating anxiety attacks is to:

1) Realize that anxiety is a normal part of life. It is not choosy. It attacks everyone. Don’t be surprised when it picks on you!

2) To counter anxiety, build a strong defense system by becoming an avid positive thinker with positive thoughts and emotions!

3) Don’t let anxiety sneak up on you. keep an open mind. Be aware of your own feelings. Nip anxiety in the bud. A tiny bit of anxiety is much easier to repel than a full scale attack! Once you have allowed anxiety to overwhelm you, there is very little you can do except to ride out its fury!

4) When the anxiety attack comes, fight it with your will power; fight it with your thoughts; fight it with your emotions; fight it with positive actions; fight it with a confident posture! “Never, never, give up!”

5) Remember that your fight against anxiety is a great, high, and noble cause! As Emily Dickinson wrote: “To fight aloud is very brave But gallanter, I know, Who charge within the bosom, The cavalry of woe!”

 Thinking About War

Sometimes I think about the 50,000 people (about the same age as I am) whose names are engraved on The Wall in Washington, DC – the ones who were killed in Vietnam. I think of what the violence of war stole from them — the simple things that I experience every day: going to work, hugging my wife, hanging out with my daughter, the opportunity to get out of bed in the morning, and yes, even the opportunity to get older.

Unspeakable tragedy! War violently stole all that and so much more from those whose names are on The Wall and from hundreds of millions of other precious human beings through out human history.

O that we would put the same effort, money, manpower, and training into stopping war that we put into preparing for it. If we would wage peace and fight for justice like Gandhi and King, perhaps we could save untold millions of people in future generations from an early violent death.

The cost of war cannot be tallied. The pain, agony, and misery inflicted by man against man. The whole hearted attempt to cause more death and destruction to an enemy’s country than they can cause to your country. Haven’t too many mothers, fathers, wives, sons and daughters received the word “killed in action”?

So with all our human achievements, intelligence, and technology; why won’t we find a better way to settle disputes? Are human beings capable of rising above war? Surely we are!

I found this quote by President Kennedy: “Wars will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today.” Yet, even in America — the freest nation on earth — if a person dares to speak against war, he or she is often criticized for exercising his right to express his opinion and coerced into silence.
