Uh, Has Anybody Noticed--The Parts Don't Fit?

Presently it's pretty popular to praise, promote, and take pride in homosexual behavior. According to the dictionary, the popular "g" word that people use to proclaim this behavior means: "joyous and lively; merry; happy; lighthearted".

A couple of days ago "The Tennessean" published a column by a nationally syndicated columnist who sang the praises of homosexual behavior. But I wonder if she or anybody else has noticed a simple fact -- the parts don't fit together!

It's just plain ole common sense. A simple glance will tell that male parts are not designed to fit together. Neither are female parts. Nature shouts that same sex parts are not made for each other. Yet society now praises such unions. What happened to common sense?

Let's get simple here. You can't unlock a key hole with a key hole. And you can't lock a key with a key. They are not designed to be used that way. If somebody chooses to rub two keys together he may have a "right" to do that, even though he won't unlock the door that way. But when he insists that society sanction and approve of his irrational behavior that's going way to far. Let's use logic. No matter what beautiful name someone gives it, homosexual behavior goes against natural design!

 Athient -- Athience

I made up two brand new words yesterday -- athient and athience. An athient is a person who regardless of what he says he believes about God, lives a lifestyle that denies God. And athience is a lifestyle of denying God.

Although very few people are atheists (people who sincerely believe the doctrines of atheism), athients (people who live like there is no God) are everywhere in our culture. Our society is awash in athience.

So many people in America claim they believe in God. Some polls say that more than 90% of people say they believe in God. But look at our culture -- God has been thrown out. Oh, we still have churches and religion and we still have "IN GOD WE TRUST" on our money, but look how we live! Our athience loudly denies God.

We are athient! While calling ourselves Christians, we accept, endorse, and tolerate things that the Bible calls sin. We go to church, read the Bible, talk about God, and do other religious things while we embrace ignoring the poor, infanticide, vulgarity, lying, adultery, violence, shackin up, apathy, profanity, racism, homosexuality, greed, drunkenness, and on and on. Lord, have mercy on us.

Are you an athient?

The Incredible Beliefs Of An Atheist

An atheist believes that every religion that has ever existed in history is wrong concerning the idea that a being, an intelligence, or a guiding force created the Universe, but he is right.

An atheist believes that every person who has ever believed in some sort of creator or creative intelligence (and there have been untold billions) is wrong and that he is right.

An atheist believes the absolutely impossible formula that time plus chance equals everything that exists.

An atheist believes that all human intelligence (even his own) is nothing but the working of time and chance -- which would mean that even his belief that there is no Creator is nothing but a cosmic accident and therefore meaningless.

An atheist believes that human moral standards are nothing but instincts that have randomly evolved for the preservation of the species and that they mean nothing outside of that context.

An atheist believes that beauty, love, inspiration, hope, joy, self-sacrifice, and all other human emotions have no meaning or reality other than aiding our physical existence.

Now those are some unbelievable beliefs to me -- they go so much against logic, personal experience, emotion, and the shared human experience of all history. I just don't have the faith to be an atheist.

 Do You Consume Poison?

Our foods nowadays contain so many additives, I'm sure some of it is not good for us and may even be poison to our body. Of course most of us don't consume poison intentionally. We either do it unknowingly (as in our food) or habitually (as in excessive alcohol or tobacco).

But are there other poisons? Yes, yes, yes. We are surrounded by mental and emotional poison. Much of what we read, watch, hear, see, say, think, believe, and do is poison. Nowadays we are exposed to so much that disrupts and distorts our mind and damages our emotions. And then we wonder why we feel so bad. It is no secret -- we are gobbling up emotional and mental poison.

Much of the mental and emotional poison in movies, on television, in video games, and in music dvd's is labeled by so called age-appropriate standards -- the older a child is, the more poison is recommended for him; and grown-ups can consume it all. Personally, even though I am a grown-up, I don't like to have my brain disrupted and my emotions damaged so I strive to avoid poison -- which greatly limits my entertainment choices.

If you feel dejected, rejected, and neglected and wonder why -- it may be because you've eaten too much mental and emotional poison. Why not make the effort to avoid it for a few weeks and see if you feel better? You will -- guaranteed!

Warning. For better emotional and mental health avoid watching, reading, listening to, thinking about, or acting out the following: negativity, violence, self-destruction, anger, profanity, disrespect, immorality, meanness, bitterness, pornography, cruelty, irreverence, perverseness, rudeness, and other poisons.
